Perfect coffee world

Since it is hard to get perfect,a near perfect coffee world ought to have ;

Diversity, inclusivity ,equality and GOOD PAY.

Diversity meaning black,white coloured,poor, rich ,educated, uneducated,from whatever region,physically fit or challenged and whatever else you can think of and deem it ‘diverse’ ,all should feel at home when and where coffee is mentioned. Continue reading “Perfect coffee world”

Diversity and choices

Today I had a taste of  South African tea, my second time to taste anything South African  my first having been just yesterday and still tea. The difference is that Yesterdays tea had some milk and it tasted heavenly, I bet it is the tea we will be having in heaven,of course those of us who will make to sit on those unfillable seven forms(seats). By the way, who is the originator of that story of there being seven forms in heaven?!! Continue reading “Diversity and choices”

different views-say caffeinated

Had to edit and re-edit because my thoughts can be liberal at times!!Read and get to know why!

I wrote sometimes back of my changing tastes, Just to update you now they are getting much better and real. The first time I said -chocolate, it was lets call it ,a true lie-just like the movie,thank goodness I am not that bad with guesses, Well, we all must start somewhere you know. Right now ,in my cup is some coffee whose source is the slopes of mount Kenya, the chocolate is quite more pronounced with even more tastes detected , like the citric is top notch. The flavors are something else and by that I mean great.A perfect balance of  sweet ,flowery ,black currant with a slight woody touch leaves my nostrils and palates dancing in sophistication.Since I do not intend to open a mercury or copper mine in my body in the near future thanks to the sugar cartels running our markets, nowadays am having it sugarless and as you grow into it ,it tastes even better.

Let me torture you no more with desire, so lets forget about my coffee(as I continue to sip it mdogo mdogo of course (Swahili for slowly slowly) and focus on other things like Mt .Kenya ,wonders of the world,etcetera etcetera,etcetera -as an English teacher in class five used to say. I can bet it is with her I first heard of the word etcetera! Ok, I knew of ‘etc’ but did not know it was a short form of that word! Then was when someone looked at the timetable and another inquired which teacher was coming next and the answer would be ‘etcetera,etcetera,etcetera!!!’ The only reason why I missed the ‘monitor’ during English speaking days was because during such days  I was silent and very well behaved!! Coffee expressions

With this rain and some of us have not marked ourselves safe for the rains happening in Southern Kenya!  Where again is Southern Kenya? Any way  I will do that when Ndakaini  dam gets full or at least the task force on the same gives its report when the rains are not yet over because if it does so after the rain season is over what will be the use of their report?

It is raining. I am stuck in the office. Yet again I forgot nowadays it always rains every evening , I wonder who should get the blame for my forgetting,I guess my middle name should take the blame, as for ‘ME’ it wasn’t me!

Of sipping and spitting

So lately I joined the sipping and spitting club!

Let us say I am half way there, thanks to one phenomenal lady, Mbula Musau through Utake Coffee and Coffee Quality Institute . She is the first Q instructor in East Africa. Wait , did I just say East Africa? no, Africa.yes ,the first Q instructor in Africa .I asked her what her English name was and she said she was given none!! That means She simply is pure African!

Without flattering she is kind and down to earth save for that she once almost left me asleep in Daresalaam. Continue reading “Of sipping and spitting”
